Public Libraries In Jefferson County Upgrading Computer System
Jefferson County, AL – The Public Libraries In Jefferson County will be upgrading key software systems on Thursday, December 15. This upgrade work will require existing systems to be taken offline, and as a result, most library-provided services will be unavailable for the duration of the work day. Impacted services include: library catalogs, public PC use, and access to databases and products such as OverDrive, Hoopla and Zinio.
A number of the public libraries in Jefferson County have decided to leverage this opportunity as an inventory and staff development work day. Those libraries will be closed to the public on Thursday, December 15. Normal library hours will resume on Friday, December 16.
Libraries that will be closed Thursday, December 15 include:
- Adamsville
- Bessemer

- Birmingham Public (All Branches)
