SEPTEMBER . . . NATIONAL LIBRARY CARD SIGN-UP MONTH
BACK-TO-SCHOOL COLLABORATION WITH SCHOOLS COUNTYWIDE

September is National Library Card Sign-up month!  All 39 public libraries in Jefferson County are encouraging library users to sign up for a library card or trade old wallet library cards for a new keychain card FREE!  We are waiving the usual $3.00 fee for the month of September only.

All children in child care centers, kindergarten and 1st grade throughout Jefferson County will receive letters to parents encouraging them to get "OFF TO A GREAT START!" by bringing children to the public library to sign up for "the school supply that lasts a lifetime - a library card"

Teenagers in 6th and 9th grades countywide will receive bookmarks reminding them that the Library is their "24 Hour Online Homework Access" resource @ www.jclc.org. Getting a library card is as easy as ….1.2.3.

  1. Go to your local public library …

  2. Bring your parent, guardian, or a driver's license …

  3. Put your NEW library card on your key chain…. And it's FREE!

Call or visit your local library today and discover the KEY to quality service.  Or go to www.jclc.org to discover your 24/7 virtual library. Get off to a GREAT START this school year!
