Hints for Searching by Subjects
If you would like to find books on a particular subject, click on Subject at the Library Catalog Menu.
Type in the subject, and press "Return." Subject headings are assigned
from the Library of Congress Subject
Headings list, so if the subject you choose is not an "official" Library of
Congress subject heading, you may not retrieve any titles. If your search does not
retrieve any titles, try a keyword search.
Helpful Hints
- You may type the subject in either upper- or lower-case letters.
- It is not necessary to type in punctuation marks.
- Use the backspace key to erase typographical errors.
- Names of people are usually typed in inverted order (e.g., Frank Lloyd Wright would be
entered as Wright, Frank Lloyd).
