Covid-19 Update (November 18, 2020)

With the temporary closure of Alabama public schools and following federal and state recommendations to avoid clusters of population within a space, many member libraries have temporarily suspended public access to the library facilities. The services available at the libraries vary based on decisions made by their respective city and library administrators. For the most up-to-date information regarding the services available at your local public library, please contact your local library directly.

What about my holds?

Holds will be kept at the library until the libraries reopen for public access. Some of the libraries are offering curbside service for you to pick up holds. See below for libraries that offer a curbside pickup service.

Can I still request items from other libraries?

What if my library card is expiring?

You can renew your library card for the full 2 years online or you can contact your local library directly.

What library resources can I access?

There is a wealth of resource available to you 24/7.

What if I do not have a library card?

Get a temporary e-card.

Why are items still on my account even though I returned them?

Please allow up to 7 days for your account to update, as all materials will be quarantined prior to check-in. Note: Fines for materials that were originally due between March 15 and June 1, 2020 have been waived. If it has been over a week, contact your local library.

What if I still need help?

Your local library is the best source of up-to-date information. If you still have questions, send an email to Tobin Cataldo at tobin.cataldo@jclc.org.
